Fall Cornhole at GREENE TURTLE Cornhole
Rules of Play:
Corn Hole boards will be 27 feet apart from front edge to front edge. There are 4 bags per set. 2 sets of different colors are needed to play singles or doubles
The front of the board represents the foul line. Players may not step in front of the board or behind the board. Players must remain within three feet of their side of the board
SCORING
The score shall be taken after all bags have been thrown for a frame. In league play teams DO subtract scores. Cancellation Scoring - In cancellation scoring, corn bags in-the-hole and corn bags in-the-count pitched by opponents during an inning or half of an inning in doubles play cancel each other out. Only non cancelled corn bags are counted in the score for the inning. â?¨ So If one team score has 8 and the other scores 6. You will subtract the 6 from 8 and that team get 2
A perfect score would be 4 â??holesâ?? or 12 points
The team who wins the frame is given honors to throw first in the next round. If both teams have the same round score then the game score stays the same and honors stays with the team who had it the previous round.
Bag on Board = 1 point
Bag through Hole = 3 points
Bags that hit the ground prior to landing on the board or going into the hole do not count
Any bag hanging off the board and touching the ground does not count
Any bag hanging in the hole only counts as 1 pointâ?¨ Count the points scored during the round. If no team has reached the 21 point mark start the next round until a team reaches 21. The team that scores the highest amount of points on the previous round will have honors.
The first team to 21 will win. You do not have to win by two and there is no mercy or "shucked" rule. Should a game go 16 innings, the game will be considered final unless either team has reached 16 or more points in that game ("16 after 16"). If a team has reached 16 or more points the game will be completed as usual. If the game is tied and under 16 for both teams then the next team to score will win.
A game is played to 21+. There is no win by 2 or bust rule for going over 21
FORFEIT:
Game 1 will be forfeited at game time if the team is not present, game 2 will be forfeited 10 minutes past game time due to no show. A team may play with one sub and if the 2nd player shows up can replace the sub between games (not mid-game).
CORNHOLE FOULS
A corn hole players foot goes past the foot foul line. (Front of the cornhole board)
A Player goes out of turn. The throw the foul occurs on is voided. If the bag is on the board remove it.
GAMEPLAY
Coin toss takes all â?? The player that wins the coin toss chooses the initial side of board to throw from and whether to start out throwing first or second
Players will alternate throwing their 4 bags down to the board on the other end
Throwing out of turn or outside the throwing box is a foul. The bag that was thrown when the foul occurred does not count and is immediately removed from play.
These rules serve as a basic guideline. There are many variations that are played among friends and family. If you are unsure about the rules of a recreational game or tournament, make sure you ask the person in charge before you start playing.
If you have any questions, issues with playing conditions or concerned about equipment, raise it prior to start playing. Nothing can be done after the fact.
